Creamed Cabbage and Potatoes with Sausage

This dish really sang the song of local produce. The only non-farm ingredients being salt, parmesan cheese and spices! It can be quite rich and it’s important to get the salt right so it’s balanced. Even better left over!

I prepared each veggie component separately: 

  • Steam 1/4" slices of potato

  • Cook sausages of choice

  • Sear cabbage wedges in butter

Then combine those ingredients all together nestled in one oven proof pan (I used the same one I cooked my cabbage and sausage in). I mixed together cream (also from the farm), parmesan, mustard, salt, and paprika and poured it over until it was about halfway up the veggies. Throw the whole thing in the oven, covered, until bubbly and melded.
