Bellair Gift Guide
Check out these recommendations from the Bellair crew, what we're gifting and what we'd like to receive:
Michelle's Picks:
I'm buying myself the special kiwis from Covesville, a holiday tradition at my house.
For myself under the tree, I'd love to see ANYTHING from Gathered Threads. Her teas, culinary herbs, and body products are all amazing. Katherine is great at creating beautiful herb blends for aroma, flavor, and medicine.
For other folks as gifts, I've been giving a lot of tthe Back Creek maple samplers! The awesome thing is that for someone special, it's a great ready-made gift. For more casual gifting (teachers, coworkers, stockings), I will separate the samplers for 3 x the gifting!
Amanda's Picks:
I like gifting edible items, as I feel they are more likely to be used & enjoyed, versus taking up space in someone's house:
-- Deep Roots Pancake Mix + Back Creek Maple Syrup for the pancake-making dads and grandads in my life
-- Assorted jams, pepper jellies, pickles, and vinegars for my foodie friends & family
For myself, I love special seasonal items, like kiwis & pecans, but this year, I'm eyeing those birdseed wreaths. I signed up for the Cornell FeederWatch and I'm trying to entice more birds to my yard!
Clayton's Picks:
As an avid birder, Clayton recommends the Birdseed Wreaths so he can sit in his warm house and drink Gathered Threads Teas while birding.
-- As a fun winter activity you can make these yourself with Bellair Beef Tallow! Just melt the tallow over a low heat, strain off the solids and mix with a birdseed mix. Them when cool enough to work with, gently press the mixture into a wreath form. don't forget to add something to hang the wreath from! Wait until completely cooled to add decorations.
Tracy's Picks:
Tracy recommends some Back Creek Farm Maple Syrup Samplers for easy gifting! Make a pancake breakfast and try all the different flavors with your loved ones. Maybe even try to guess with the flavors are!
Molly's Picks:
Obviously, she recommends one of her beautiful wreaths. She spent long days harvesting these colorful flowers at the peak of summer for you to bring into your home and enjoy all winter long!
-- She has also gifted some Bellair Hot Sauce to some of her family members already!!
Nat's Picks:
Nat wants something sweet this holiday season! He recommends the elderberries he harvested and froze with summer. Either invite everyone over to make a batch of elderberry syrup or make and bottle it for friends and family ahead of time!
--He is hoping to see some Hungry Hill Honey in his stocking.
Mackenzie's Picks:
I think these light blue candles (in the middle) are just the most beautiful color for candles. I really appreciate that these are fragrance free for fully enjoying a cozy dinner!
-- I would also really like some of this Elderberry Honey to put in some hot water for a easy warming beverage after a good meal. It also comes in the most beautiful packaging so I will definitely be gifting it to a lot of people!
-- As for myself, I'm doing less stocking stuffing and more freezer stuffing. I'm gifting myself a lot of Bellair Meat including some short ribs, duck breasts, and chicken wings and leg quarters. There's just nothing better than a nourishing warm meal shared with loved ones
Hali's Picks:
Hali recommends gifting a CSA share to your loved ones. Nothing is better than fresh veggies all summer long! Bond over trying kohlrabi for the first time and share recipes to use all the abundance! If your loved ones don't live near here, offer to buy them a CSA from their local farm.
