Bellair Crew Behind the Scenes
We've just wrapped up the 2025 season and we’re excited to be taking a little breather. The Fall season is hectic because our farm crew shrinks but the markets are still booming! We've been doing a lot with a core group of amazing people the last couple of weeks. All of these staff are planning to work through winter and return with us next season, which we couldn't be more delighted about! We'd like to introduce some of our wonderful people and what they work on below:
Dale and Tracy are our wonderful livestock stewards. Between them, they are on the farm 7 days a week, rain or shine, frost or sun, and they do an excellent job caring for our animals. Dale always seems to be in the right place at the right time to see some really cool wildlife encounters -- like the deer caught in one of our gates. That's his shadow with a cool farm field phenomena top left. Tracy is our resident livestock photographer. She sends in gorgeous imagery from her chore rounds each week that we use in our Carnivore and other newsletters. She often catches interesting perspectives, like this one of a curious piglet above right.
Tina (above left) is our Market Manager/Market Queen (all hail) and keeps things rolling week after week here at Bellair. Tina has worked no less than 100 individual farmer's markets so far in 2025 -- WOW.
MacKenzie (above center) has been the driving force behind the Bellair Kitchen (and all the Bellair Jar goods, yum!) and she has also been steadfastly managing the Barn Store for the last couple of years. We are excited to be training Mackenzie up for a more administrative role on the farm for next year.
Molly (above right) is crushing it in her new role as Bellair's Wholesale Manager! She's been packing and delivering orders for the past few weeks. In 2026, she'll be adding this role to her already-established role as Bellair's cut flower farmer and she will also help with some event planning as well!
Michael (above left) and Donna (above right) are your Saturday Barn Store staffers and so much more. Around helping customers, neither of them is afraid of any side work task, be it wash station chores, egg cleaning, or even field work. They both can do it all. We are so grateful to them for spending their Saturdays with us.
Eric (above right) is a mechanical wizard. He keeps all of our equipment in tip top shape, for example getting the Farmall Super A running again after the 2024 flooding event. He often helps Nat and Michelle problem-solve various mishaps around the farm, and he helps with mowing and other tractor work when needed. Eric is responsible for that slick barrel train that we debuted at Fall Fest this year!
Michelle, Nat, & Amanda have all been privileged enough to get in some vacation time this fall while the rest of the crew took care of things. This has been a milestone we've been working towards over the past several years. We are so proud to have built a business that can support its managers stepping away for a break every once in a while.
We're looking forward to spending the winter doing some more staff training and professional development, and we’re confident we’ll start the 2026 season with the strong foundation of this crew!
