Edible, Medicinal, and Utilitarian Plant Workshop

Join Steve Pullinger on a guided walk around the farm. This workshop/walk will cover all the 'wild' edible and medicinal plants that are growing around the barn area. We will discuss foraging ethics, how to process the edible (and sample some too) and medicinal plants. Also, you'll see how some of the wild plants work for utilitarian uses, such as friction fire, cordage and other useful purposes.

Steve Pullinger first attended several Tom Brown workshops over 35 years ago and has been a student and practitioner ever since. Steve is a Master Naturalist, organic gardener ( and past homesteader ), a street EMT for 20 years. Steve has taught Wilderness survival (using Paleo skill sets), edible and medicinal plant walks, brain tanning hides and more over the last 3 decades.

$30/per person ($15/2026 CSA Members). Meet at the Barn Store promptly at 10am. Wear shoes for walking/potential dew/mud.
